Get to know some of the faces behind our work in Leipzig
BUND stands for Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (German Federation for the Environment and Nature Conservation) and is an independent, federal NGO that has been dedicated to protecting nature and the environment since the mid-1970s. With over 650,000 members and supporters, 16 state organizations and 2,300 local and regional groups, the BUND is one of the largest environmental association in Germany today.
The regional group Leipzig is involved in working on the protection of the environment and nature in and around Leipzig since 2009. We are a group of dedicated volunteers and we invite you to take a tour through our website, where you will find selected information in English.

We are organized into 16 working groups, a youth group and the local-group in Eastern Leipzig.
Besides the working groups and their projects, we also have two urban garden and two third-party projects in Leipzig, where you could also get involved.
